We’re all aware of the chatbot and AI boom, with many new competitors entering, not only the market, but also our day to day lingo and habits. It’s radically changing the way we behave online, with even something as fundamental as Google search getting a new AI facelift, with longform user prompts at its core. Because many people are still in the adoption phase of AI, our requests are still predominantly search based as opposed to image generation or fully deployed professional usage. For this reason ChatGPT remains the most popular artificial intelligence chatbot in the US, based on a study from Pew Research
The study also shows that approximately half of U.S. adults are now using AI chatbots, which is up from 33% in 2024.
As AI technology continues to learn and improve, focus will begin to shift away from text base search requests, and more towards image and video generation. At which point we may see different AI chatbots and tools, such as Google’s Gemini and Microsoft’s Copilot, begin to command ownership of the space.
